Honoring Peacemakers: Martin Luther King Jr. and Maria Montessori
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Dr. Maria Montessori were both champions for peace and equality, and changed the world through their efforts. Dr. King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, the youngest to receive the honor. Dr. Montessori was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1949, 1950, and 1951. Their great minds and work continue to inspire and motivate us today and generations to come.
